Organizing a barbershop convention is no small feat, and Who's Up Live is here to make it as smooth as possible for regional, area, and district events. You're just three steps away from a seamless event experience for everyone – organizers, participants, and audiences alike.
Fill Out the Templates
I'll provide a simple template for your contest organizer to input schedules, competitor details, and event specifics. Once completed and returned (typically a few days before the convention), I'll handle the import, ensuring everything is ready for showtime.
Assign an Admin
Designate an admin to manage high-level tasks during the event. The admin will:
- Advance competitors to the finals as they qualify
- Handle any changes, like part swaps or scratches
- Input scores and song details once the Official Scoring Summary (OSS) is released
I'll work directly with your admin ahead of the event, providing training to make sure they're comfortable using the app.
Set Up Session Managers
You'll need one person per session to press "Start" and "Stop" at the appropriate times, keeping everything on track. These roles can rotate easily between sessions, making it simple for different team members to pitch in as needed.
If organizers choose, session managers can also add song titles for each group in real-time, enhancing the experience for attendees by keeping set lists up-to-date as the event unfolds.
Currently Offered at No Charge
As a district leader and past District President myself, I understand the ongoing challenges our organizations face post-pandemic. That's why Who's Up Live is currently free for district, region, and area use and available at no charge to attendees. If possible, a quick announcement during your event to share this offering and encourage a coffee donation would be greatly appreciated – but it's absolutely not required.
